Hot on the heels of the recent announcement that Gotchichain will be settling to Base, today we are excited to announce that our GHST token, the eco-governance token of the Aavegotchi Crypto Gaming protocol, is now live for trading on Base.
This expansion marks GHST's evolution into a multichain token and paves the way for even deeper integrations within the Base and Coinbase ecosystems.

Bridge to Base
GHST was deployed onto Ethereum in September 2020 and bridged successfully to Polygon in 2021, where we have over 137K holders and millions in liquidity! In 2024, we are finally going “triplechain” by bridging GHST to Base, a Layer 2 (L2) powered by the Optimism stack.
Starting today, all holders can bridge GHST to Base via either the canonical (official) bridge or various fast bridges:
- Superbridge: This method is ideal for larger GHST transfers between Ethereum and Base. The Pixelcraft Studios team has already utilized this bridge to shift $200K worth of liquidity to UniswapV3 on Base for GHST/WETH pairs, setting a strong foundation for liquidity.
- Fast Bridges: For those looking to bridge GHST from Polygon to Base, fast bridges like Bungee and Jumper offer a quick and efficient solution in both directions, especially for smaller amounts. These bridges are not live yet but are coming soon.
Strengthening Liquidity
Understanding that $200K in liquidity is just the starting point for Base, Coderdan, AavegotchiDAO’s summoner, will soon submit a proposal for the DAO to create a liquidity pool on Base’s increasingly popular native DEX, Aerodrome. This initiative aims to reward liquidity providers with AERO tokens, which could be retained by the DAO or used to incentivize liquidity on Aerodrome further.
Enhancing liquidity on Base not only attracts Base-native traders but also fortifies the bond between Aavegotchi and Base. The outcome of this effort will be clearer in the next 10-20 days, with updates and participation opportunities available through our Aavegotchi Discord and engaging in DAO Discussion threads.
Beyond Based
As GHST takes its place on Base, we're not just witnessing the growth of our token; we're participating in the evolution of our ecosystem.
The migration of GHST to Base is just the beginning. By June, we anticipate the deployment of GHST on the eagerly awaited Gotchichain, a Base-secured Layer 3 (L3) solution tailor-made for the Aavegotchi community.
