The weather outside was dark and stormy on Saturday January, 29th in Copenhagen, Denmark. However, inside Lunas Køkken the vibes were high as crypto and NFT enthusiasts gathered for the return of Nerd 9ight 43, a popular event where crypto natives have been gathering to discuss innovations and happenings within the space. The theme this time around was “Kryptonite Metaverse” and the event featured attendees from places far and wide including New York City, New York and Oslo, Norway.
The agenda featured a wide range of relevant topics such as NFTs and VR, Ethereum scaling, and job creation possibilities with the rise of play-to-earn gaming. Between speaking sessions the event also featured craft brewing, dinner, drinks, and an exciting panel discussing DAOs, focused on how they will develop and whether or not society will embrace them. The event ran well into the night, with many people sticking around into the early hours of the morning.
Among the speakers was Aavegotchi community member (redacted). (Redacted) took to the stage to share his thoughts on NFT gaming, and naturally helped spread the Gotchi Gospel to the eager-to-learn attendees. More than half of his speaking time was focused on Aavegotchi and the crowd was enthralled with the intricacies of the project.
He highlighted key Aavegotchi game mechanics and also discussed the upcoming launch of the Gotchiverse. With all the buzz surrounding the play-to-earn space and the metaverse, the topic was certainly timely. With that in mind, it’s no surprise that (redacted)’s informative discussion of Aavegotchi was well received. Listeners were already fascinated by Aavegotchi’s unique utilization of DeFi and NFTs, but once the Gotchiverse was brought up the FOMO really set in! The preview highlighted the metaverse adventure’s dedication to on-chain transactions, complete ownership of game assets, and the way any DAO community member can have a direct impact on the game’s development.
Meetups like this are fantastic opportunities to meet people interested in the play-to-earn space and spread the word about Aavegotchi.
